We look forward to welcoming all students back to school tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28.
Classes will resume as scheduled, including regular Wednesday early dismissal times.
In coordination with the City and DPW crews, school parking lots and walkways have been cleared, with additional efforts continuing overnight to prepare for morning arrivals. Please note that parking availability will be limited due to remaining snow piles. We ask that families use caution when driving in school lots and throughout surrounding neighborhoods where students walk to and from school.
The Somerville Police Department will be present at schools during arrival and dismissal on Wednesday to support safe driving and pedestrian movement around intersections and school buildings.
We also ask that parents and guardians ensure students are dressed warmly, as cold temperatures are expected to continue before and after school throughout the rest of the week. For families in need of winter clothing, school liaisons are available to help connect you with resources.
