Intra-District Transfer Registration

Information and Documents You will Need

Please note, intra-district transfers will be accepted between April 1, 2026 and November 1, 2026. Transfers will not be issued after November 1, unless it is in the best interest of the child or school.

To request a transfer from one school to a different school within the Somerville district, complete an Intra-District Transfer Request Form: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole.
Intra-districts will be accepted for the 2026-2027 School Year starting April 1, 2026.
Email the form to Herenia Hernandez or Colleen Flynn. You may also drop the form off at the Enrollment Office, which is located at 167 Holland Street, third floor.
Families who apply by May 15, 2026 will receive a response from the Enrollment Office by the 2^nd week of June, otherwise transfer requests will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Parents/guardians will be notified of the decision by email. If the transfer request is denied, students will be added to the waitlist for their chosen school.
