Summer Success Program
Learn everything you need to be a successful student at Somerville High School in this program. Learn how to navigate the building read a class schedule, find help when you need it and more at the two-week orientation course at Somerville high school. Pick the time that works for you. Some sessions may close, if too few students register.
- Option 1: July 8 - 19, 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
- Option 2: July 8 - 19, 10:40 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.
- Option 3: July 22 - August 2, 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
- Option 4: July 22 - August 2, 10:40 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.

Welcome Orientations for students
One-hour orientation for rising 9th graders. Take a building tour and learn about the class schedule with other students in your SHS Community. All students are put in one of four SHS Communities. Learn more about Somerville High School Communities.

Health and Wellness
Mental Health Supports
- I'm having a bad day. Talk to your counselor.
- I'm having more than a bad day either physically or emotionally. The Teen Connection Center, administered by the Cambridge Health Alliance offers health services for teens. Call them at 617-575-5690.
- I saw someone get bullied. Report it anonymously online.
- I'm having problems keeping up with the work. Start by talking to or emailing your teacher, but know that there are a lot of tutors and resources available to keep you on track.
- There are many programs in place at Somerville High School to support any student mental health needs. Talk to your Counselor about programs available for your needs.
Dental and Medical Health
- The Teen Connection Center, administered by the Cambridge Health Alliance offers health services for teens. Call them at 617-575-5690.
- Dental Care is available to students who need it. Please talk to your school counselor or assistant principal to learn more.
