All City Robotics - FULL

Description: Join students from the Somerville High School Robotics Team for weekly engineering, coding, and design challenges culminating in a final showcase and competition. Students will also explore 3D printing and laser cutting as a way to create modifications for their creations. Come learn how to build robots that play music, make art, battle and compete!
Dates: Mondays, November 7 through December 19 (7 Weeks), 3:15-4:45 p.m.

After School Tennis Club with Drew Hendrickson (WSNS) - FULL

Description: Students will participate in at least one hour of tennis programming led by Coach Hendrickson. This programming includes fitness activities, skill building, team games, and competitions. Students will also receive at least one hour of academic support led by a teacher or other educator. This programming will include homework help and ELA-based activities that focus on enjoying reading and writing and building skills in those areas. Each day would also include various team and community building activities.
Dates: Mondays 2:45-4:45 p.m.

Voices with Vision (Healey)

Description: Voices with Vision is a program for Black/Latinx girls to learn the art of step dancing, build friendships, and develop their leadership skills in an affirming, empowering space. The program meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30-4:30 at the Healey School beginning October 3rd.
Dates: Mondays and Wednesdays 2:45-4:30

Ages: Healey School Students in Grades 5-8 who identify as female and are Black or Latina

STEAMLand Studios (AFAS) - FULL

Description: Building off of our successful Somerville Innovation and Creation Lab vacation week programs and the Summer of Yes, our new STEAMLand Studios program will enroll 20 5th and 6th graders to participate in structured academic support and mentoring, as well as enrichment activities provided by local community partners in the STEAM field. 
Dates: Wednesdays, November 2nd from 2:30-5:30 p.m., half-day Wednesdays from 12:30-5:00 p.m.

Soccer Without Borders (WHCIS) - FULL

Description: 6th, 7th, and 8th graders currently attending Winter Hill are invited to join Soccer Without Borders. Soccer Without Borders is a brand new, free after school program that combines academic support with soccer and team building activities. The first day of the program is October 18th. 
Dates: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 2:30-5 p.m. during the academic year

Ages: Winter Hill Students in Grades 6, 7, and 8.
