Walking and Riding to School

Somerville participates in the Safe Routes to School Program (SRTS) to increase student safety for travel to and from school. Please visit the SRTS page on our website to find maps that can be used as a tool for families to develop walking routes to school. Note that the maps do not account for crossing guard absences or short-term construction that could impact sidewalk or street safety. Parents and guardians should always consider what may work best for their family.
